Eric Martinez, professional photographer in Provence

I’m Éric Martinez, a photographer based in Carpentras, near Avignon. I photograph weddings, couples, families and proposals, mainly in Provence.

Before a wedding, we go through the schedule: locations, travel between venues, people to gather for group portraits and the moments you would like photographed. We also plan time for couple portraits around the light and your day.

On site, I photograph conversations and reactions, giving guidance when it is useful. For portraits, that might mean suggesting a place to stand, a direction to walk or how to turn towards the light. I coordinate the photography with those involved in the schedule, such as the celebrant, priest or DJ.

Preparation gives me reference points; I then adapt my work to the available time, venue rules and conditions on the day. The wedding stories on this site show this combination of candid scenes, guided portraits and wedding details.
