Before the wedding, we discuss your priorities, venues and schedule. We identify the moments to photograph, plan time for portraits and prepare the group list. These exchanges give us practical reference points for the day.

PREPARATIONS
As a starting point, allow around an hour per person for getting-ready photographs; we can adjust this around your plans and locations. On arrival, I arrange and photograph the dress, suit, accessories, jewellery and details you have chosen. The time available determines which scenes we can include.

CEREMONY
The exchange of rings is a key moment; it's best to gently slow them down a bit in front of me.
I plan ahead as much as possible so that you are comfortable on your wedding day and that the pictures are beautiful.

EXITS & GUARD OF HONOUR
We discuss the exit from the town hall, church or outdoor ceremony: where guests will stand, the available space and the photographs planned. The arrangements also depend on the rules of the venue and the people leading the ceremony.
PHOTOS COUPLES
Before the wedding, I search for the best light, often around sunset. I then refine the exact location and time for the couple's photos with the bride and groom on site, in order to obtain the best possible results.

I will guide you gently to make you feel comfortable, even if you are not used to being photographed.

RECEPTION & DINNER
The couple’s entrance, speeches and surprises all need preparation.
For the cake, for example, I advise you to be clearly visible and not hidden behind it.
MY EXPERT EYE
I stay attentive to what is happening. At one wedding, the bouquet hid the couple’s faces during their kiss at the town hall. I suggested to the official that they share a second kiss at the end of the ceremony so I could photograph their faces without the bouquet in front.

From preparations through to the middle of the evening.
We prepare a photography schedule around your priorities and the agreed coverage: getting ready, ceremonies, group portraits, drinks, speeches or the first dance. The moments included depend on when they take place during your day.
Additional time may be possible, subject to my availability and agreement on the terms and price.
If a detail of the preparations happens before I arrive, we can discuss recreating a simple gesture, such as a final brushstroke or makeup adjustment. This is a guided photograph taken afterwards, adapted to the time available.
