ESTELLE & GUILLAUME, A WEDDING IN SARRIANS
Estelle and Guillaume married at the town hall and in church in Sarrians before arriving at Château Bois d’Arlène in a white convertible. The galleries follow the ceremonies, their time with guests, the ribbon bouquet game, couple portraits and dinner in the stone-walled reception room.
FROM THE FIRST MOMENTS TO THE TOWN HALL
The first images show Guillaume with his family, followed by Estelle’s arrival for the civil ceremony. At the town hall, I photograph the couple listening, their hands as they sign and their first kiss. The close framing also keeps the reactions of the people beside them in the story.
THE CHURCH CEREMONY
In church, Estelle and Guillaume sit together in front of their families. The gallery moves between wider views of the ceremony, the exchange of rings and the faces of the couple and their guests. I adjust my position to the light and the space available around the ceremony.
COCKTAIL, FAMILY & CANDID MOMENTS
Estelle and Guillaume arrive at Château Bois d’Arlène in a white convertible, then join their guests on the terrace. The ribbon bouquet game brings the women together around Estelle, with the ribbons stretched out from her bouquet. I photograph the circle, the gestures and the reactions, alongside group portraits and conversations during the drinks reception.
COUPLE PORTRAITS AT CHÂTEAU BOIS D’ARLÈNE
For the couple portraits, we use the château’s terraces and paths, with cypress trees and dry grass in the background. I guide Estelle and Guillaume’s position in relation to the light, then move closer for their expressions and embraces. The photographs alternate between views of the setting and portraits of the two of them.
DINNER AT THE CHÂTEAU
Dinner takes place inside the château’s stone-walled reception room. The photographs show the laid tables, the food and the guests gathered around them. As the lighting changes, I move between details of the meal and the people taking part in the evening.
