You do not need to know how to pose. I give you a few clear directions so you know what to do, then step back as soon as the movement feels natural. Together we choose a location and time that make the most of the light while respecting your schedule. The aim is to create photographs in which you recognise yourselves, without asking you to perform for the camera.
I begin with guidance to help you understand where to stand and how to move. As you become comfortable, I leave more room for your conversations and gestures. I observe how you are together and adapt my direction without turning the session into a sequence of poses. We choose the location and time according to the light, season and your schedule. The session can take place in a Provençal village, the streets of Aix-en-Provence, an olive grove, amid the lavender, on a beach or somewhere personally meaningful, depending on access and conditions. I work with couples who live in Provence or are visiting for a few days, in French or English. The galleries show the combination of guided portraits, movement and moments between the two of you.
