AMANDINE & THÉO AT LES PRAIRIES DE L’ENCRÊME
Amandine and Théo celebrated their wedding at Les Prairies de l’Encrême in Céreste. The galleries bring together the preparations, the town hall, the outdoor ceremony and portraits among the lavender. The drinks reception and evening carry the story through to their first dance.
GETTING READY
Amandine closes her eyes during makeup, then her loved ones help her into her Solution Cérémonie gown and fasten the buttons. I capture hands adjusting the fabric, the hairstyle by Julie of Cabri Hair, the manicure by Samiha Khalil and the jewellery from Bijouterie Raphaël Escanez in Arles. Théo too is helped with his shirt and bow tie.
THE CIVIL CEREMONY
For the town hall, Amandine wears a flowing dress and Théo a grey suit. Seated side by side, they listen before signing the registers. The images move from hands and signatures to their faces, then the kiss and the exit onto the steps. This gallery keeps the first part of the day, in outfits different from the outdoor ceremony.
SECULAR CEREMONY
White chairs face a pergola dressed with pampas grass, with flowers by Fleurs d’O in Pertuis. Amandine and Théo each arrive accompanied, then read their vows before their guests. I change viewpoint to show the one speaking and the one listening, hands during the exchange of rings and reactions among the guests. They leave beneath petals, surrounded by their loved ones.
MOMENTS FOR TWO IN THE LAVENDER
Rows of lavender compose Amandine and Théo’s portraits. We alternate a few steps along the path, seated images and closer portraits. I place them in relation to the sun and guide their movements. Amandine runs her hand over the flowers; Théo holds a sprig of lavender between his lips. The dress, the green suit and the evening light set the palette.
THE COCKTAIL & THE EVENING
At the drinks reception, trays go round and loved ones gather for group portraits. The gallery keeps the embraces and a more graphic, colourful series outdoors. Inside, the couple make their entrance. The croquembouche arrives with sparklers, then Amandine and Théo open the dance floor under confetti, with the DJs of 33 Tours. I photograph the party up close, among those living it.
